The coldness all around. The chilling air, the icy water, the visible breaths, the frigid atmosphere, the tightening shawls, the freezing fingers, the chapped lips, the cold cheeks, the numbed face and the urge to draw oneself inwards..
The cold penetrating within from the outside.. making everything gloomier than it actually is.. the winters slowly freezing everything that's around.. hardening one's mind & soul...
And then amidst all the harshness, all the bitter cold, piercing the thick layers of fog and clouds, comes the winter sun!! Warm, soft and ever forgiving..
And everything feels pleasant, mellow and homely... The rays just penetrating through each and every pore, the cheeks flush, the eyes light up, one's entire being comes alive, the air striking the face feels cozier.. as the sunrays spread their warmth to the deepest corners of one's heart, all the numbness starts melting away.. the world starts to feel more snug and cheerful.. all because of the winter sun..
The warmth & the light makes it's way through the cracks in the skin, to the crevices in the hearts, to reach all the hideouts in the soul.. softening everything enroute..
